A private, liberal arts university in the Bronx, New York City. Originally established in 1853 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Christian Brothers) as an academy for day students. In 1922, it moved from Manhattan to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, roughly 6.4 miles (10.3 km) north of its original location on 131st Street in Manhattanville. The campus has a well-equipped sports center with an indoor athletics track and is located in greenery in a harmonious mix of modern and red brick buildings. Included is Lockes Loft, excellent catering with the "all you can eat" formula and special attention to dietary restrictions. During full-day excursions, Meal Boxes or a prepaid card with a flat rate amount will be provided to be used for lunches and/or dinners in the city. There is also free Wifi throughout the campus.
